FAQ

1. When is rent due?
     Rent is due the first of each month. You have a 5 day grace period, which means, your check must be postmarked by the 5th of each month or it is considered late.

2. How can I pay rent?
    You can pay in person at our office located at 1715 C Street Suite 101, you can mail your check to the Garden Property Development, LLC, Sehome Investments, LLC or York       Properties, LLC at 1715 C Street Suite 101, Bellingham, WA 98225. You can also pay online via your tenant portal. You can pay using an e-check or a credit or debit card. The     e-check option is free but your credit or debit card company will charge you a fee.

3. Who do I make the check payable to?
    You will make your checks payable to either Garden Property Development, LLC, Sehome Investments, LLC or York Properties, LLC. Please reference your lease/rental                  agreement to figure out which company your property is held in.

4. Is my Security/Damage/Cleaning Deposit refundable?
   Yes. As described in the Lease/Rental Agreement, in most cases, the deposit is fully refundable provided there are no damages or additional cleaning which need to be           addressed to return the house or apartment to move in condition, unpaid rent, fees or fines, or breach of contract obligations. Some rental units/leases require a portion of     thedamage cleaning and security deposit as a non-refundable fee. This is stated in the lease/rental agreement and is typically for carpet cleaning or buffing and re-sealing     commercial tile.

5. Can we clean the carpets ourselves?
  No. We have a professional carpet cleaning business we contract with to provide this service. By having the carpets cleaned professionally, it sets a standard of what we and      our tenants can expect.

6. Are pets allowed?
  No, not typically. Not even visiting pets.

7. Is smoking, vaping, etc. allowed?
   No. All our units are NON-SMOKING only.

8. Is sub-leasing allowed?
    No, sub-leasing is not allowed.
